My journey begins in Istanbul, Turkey, where I was born, and continues in Israel.

I was always a nature-loving girl, but also a lonely one. Since my parents worked very long hours and returned home in the late evenings, I was alone a lot. I always tried to please my mother, because I felt she never approved of anything I did. This situation led to my learning to fend for myself, on the one hand, and always trying to please everybody, on the other.

When I was 7 years old I immigrated to Israel with my parents and my older brother, and my world was turned upside down. It was hard for me to adapt to the new language and to my new surroundings, and again I was very lonely. So, I found a Eucalyptus tree and it became my hideaway. I spent many magical hours there, surrounded by nature, and the chirping birds became my friends. This was my way to escape from the daily struggle.
